Graphite Foil Gasket & Seal Applications 

Flat metallic leaf springs of stainless steel or high temperatue nickel alloy are encapsulated in a thick vermiculated graphite foil jacket.  These tough metal reinforced graphite strands are weaving yarns that are capable of enduring much higher temperatures than other graphite gaskets and high pressures up to 4500 psi / 310 bar with a two-to-one safety factor.  This endurance is ideal for applications such as:

Graphite Foil Gasket Sheet Material

Woven & Compressed Foil graphite sheets are reinforced with flat metal leaf springs to increase density.  This level of density forms leak tight sheets to be used in severe conditions in which even asbestos would not have survived.  This resilient compressed gasket sheet handles and feels like tough leather, taking physical abuse like no other graphite foil.  Finally, a gasket sheet material that replaces spiral wound gaskets, removing the spiral leak path and eliminating the need for a compression ring. This is a very high temp gasket material that meets all current nuclear service specifications.
